The Frisian School “ROC Friese Poort Sneek” is going to start a new international course in August 2011, called; Maritime Technique MBO level 4. Because of the specific programs, this education fills the gap between Maritime Technique at vocational level and Marine Engineering at college level.

The course Maritime Technique MBO level 4 has been developed in collaboration with companies out of the maritime sector. Vripack plays a significant role in putting together the content of this program by ensuring that the latest developments within technology are incorporated into the curriculum. We make sure that there is a connection between the materials and the direction of today’s yachting industry. Besides theoretical lessons, students work on challenging projects including development of techniques for offshore wind farms, drilling platforms and new ships.

 
In this unique vocational course, students learn about special techniques which are being used in maritime companies like Vripack. Graduating from this course ensures one access into college or you can start as a specialist in the maritime sector.

What is a Scholarship?

A scholarship is a unique way to make studying in the Maritime sector attractive for young people. Next to that it is a way to secure the future of the sector. Students combine studying with a job at Vripack which is in line with their training and they receive an additional compensation from Vripack.

 
The scholarship creates a preference position for Vripack based on the market between student, education and business. After the training Vripack may offer the student a job which will save recruitment costs, selection costs and an introduction period.

Vripack works together with the NHL by providing lectures, organizing tours, participate in projects as external client or by providing equipment and software.
